How to: Upload documents from your desktop to Google Docs

Google released a basic application for Windows that lets you upload files to Google Docs by using drag and drop. The application is more like a sample of what you can do with a Google Docs API, but it’s pretty useful if you want to upload a lot of documents. There’s also an option to add “Send to Google Docs” to the contextual menu so you can upload files directly from Windows desktop.

Here is how to upload documents from your desktop to Google docs using Doc uploader.

1. Download the application from http://google-gdata.googlecode.com/files/DocListUploader-1.0.exe and install it.

2. Once installed you can easily drag and drop the documents and upload it to your Google docs account.

3. You can also just right click on the documents from the desktop and send to Google docs.

Also, there is another way to upload more files at once is to send them to the email address displayed on this page, but this only works with documents and presentations and there are some restrictions regarding the size of the uploaded files.

Google announced, just like the gmail uploader now Google docs also comes with a flash uploader, which helps you to upload your files fast!

Google released an application for Windows that lets you upload files to Google Docs by using drag and drop. The application is more like a sample for Google Docs API, but it’s pretty useful if you want to upload a lot of documents. There’s also an option to add “Send to Google Docs” to the contextual menu so you can upload files directly from Windows Explorer.

The application can be downloaded from there and it requires .NET Framework 2.0.

This feature is another addition to Google docs, just like how to upload files via email to Google docs.

Upload your files to translate it to/from any language on Google translate

This is something I noticed recently, i’m not sure if this is a new update to the Google Translator. If you look at the Google translator it shows a upload a file option where you can upload a document and translate it to any language instantly…

Youtube increases the file upload size to upto 2GB….. Yeah, that’s sooooooo much of space for all of your videos!!

Yesterday, Google has such a maintenance is carried out and some updates installed. These include a new design, HD links, and a new uploader also. Here a quick review of whats new in youtube:

Sign into Youtube with your Google account automatically.

Previously you had to create a new Youtube account or sign in manually by entering your Google accounts login information. Now its real easy… all you have to do is signin to your Gmail account and open youtube on another tab. Then click on signin in the Youtube window and it automatically signs you in…. now is that good or what

Sponsored, Promoted and Featured videos

In the Spotlight Videos are videos that YouTube wants to emphasize as highlights. Promoted videos are from partner paid videos. As Featured videos called Google Video, which currently are often viewed.

Its High Definition baby

Those who are seeing directly to a HD video link to video, you need no longer fmt = 22 to fall back. We must now only & hd = 1 to the URL to the video on YouTube and you attach the video is displayed in HD.

Video site

The video site has been somewhat redesigned. Well, this tidy. It has Google on the feedback from our users is one. Many found this confusing part. Google now has the tabs comments and Statistics & Data removed. The latter is now folded over the comments. The links are somewhat smaller and are so subtle.

HD uploader

A new uploader was in the beta test since September. Since December shows the Stats of how many percent of videos are uploaded. The YouTube Uploader is now out of beta and put the flash uploader all available. Unlike the past, you can upload up to 10 videos at the same time to upload.
