Currently, YouTube is testing a new feature that allows you to find details about a video. In addition to the original resolution, bit rate and file size, the streaming speed, number of frames and some other info will be displayed. You can find all this When you right click on the video, and you would get an option to view the details of the video such as ‘Show video info’ and ‘copy debug info’..

It works for me but not for my friend, so I think this testing is only available for limited number of user’s. This announcement comes in from the Google OS blogspot.

Google has three more birthday gifts for blogger. They add the read more link , added more templates and now that its been sometime after blogger’s birthday, Google still wants to gift more new features to Blogger. Here are 3 more new features that were rolled out in blogger recently:

Print blog:

For just $15 you can can print out a blog as a book. This amount includes 20 pages.Also, if you want to print more? you can pay more $ 0.35 per page.

Widgetbox

The Blogger team has worked with Widgetbox and you can now create a widget with a few clicks.

Photos with comments:

From now on anyone can submit, upload a profile picture while commenting. The admin of the blog needs to unlock this option in the settings.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Blogger several new features were rolled out. The Blogger team has one more new feature now available and that is, the ability insert a  “read more” link into a blog post. So when you’re on the homepage of your blog a short intro text places interrupted by a “Read more” link that will refer to the page with the full article. To use the option to read more messages, the “Updated Editor ‘is enabled automatically.

The select and check your settings within Blogger, you need to:

1. Click on the ‘Basic’ button, scroll down to “Message Editor select ‘.

2.  If it is not the case just, select “Updated editor” and click on Save Settings.

If you’re a news article making the “Read more” option available in the toolbar above the message. This is the last button and it adds by clicking the Read more link to the message. If you do not want to use the new editor you can also insert the Read button via a detour. This is done by when creating a new message to switch to HTML view by clicking “Edit HTML” and then’<!– more -> “to insert the desired place.

The “recent announcement” gadget is also got an upgrade today, so we not have more control over how much text is shown in the post summary. You can even show the full post content which is useful for putting a “word of the day” or “photo of the day” on the site home page. You can also configure the gadget to show a thumbnail of the first photo in the post. External search providers can also be used such as a Custom Search Engine or a Google Search Appliance.

Google Adsense has extended “category filtering” beta to publishers in a number of English-speaking countries. Category filtering lets you prevent ads from up to 5 specific categories such as religion, politics, and dating from appearing on your pages.

In addition, you’ll be able to see the percentage that each category contributes to your earnings, which can help you understand any revenue impact you might notice as a result of filtering. To see whether category filtering has been enabled for your location, sign in and visit the Ad Review Center, located under the ‘AdSense Setup’ tab.

Additional uses that you get:

- Ad impression impact to give you a better sense of how many ads you’d be filtering.

- Ad impression and earnings percentages are now calculated based on impressions from the previous 30 days instead of three.

-Category descriptions help you understand the types of ads that may fall into each.

Google Knol has got lots of improvements this season. There are many new added features: “collections, templates, categories, Google Analytics integration, review scorecards”.

A recent feature added to Knol is a basic equation editor that uses the LaTeX markup language.

“This markup language beautifully aligns, sizes and indents mathematical symbols after they are expressed using a combination of standard letters, words and punctuation characters.”

Gmail has rolled out a feature to try and streamline the process. Now, when you click the “Report Spam” button on an email, you’ll get an “Unsubscribe and report spam” option that will actually remove you from the mailing list as opposed to simply moving the email to your spam folder. Gmail also says that this doesn’t work for everything yet, and when I tried it on a couple of newsletters in my mailbox, I didn’t see the option. They are trying to get more senders to support the feature.

“We’re actively encouraging senders to support auto-unsubscribe — we think 100% should. We won’t provide the unsubscribe option on messages from spammers: we can’t trust that they’ll actually unsubscribe you, and they might even send you more spam. So you’ll only see the unsubscribe option for senders that we’re pretty sure are not spammers and will actually honor your unsubscribe request. We’re being pretty conservative about which senders to trust in the beginning; over time, we hope to offer the ability to unsubscribe from more email.”

It’s a nice feature from Gmail, but the problem seems to be with the email senders, who automatically opt you into mailing lists and make it intentionally difficult to remove yourself. Google has added many new features to the Google Reader! Now you can follow a friend, Like hisher posts and add comments to their posts and search for peoples Google profiles …

The Profile search can bring more users to Google Reader and you can see what other items they recommend from inside Google Reader.

In the settings you can specify who can see the recommendations and whether recommendations should be open to the public.

By clicking on “I like this” you should be able to give a feedback for the post and it shows how many people like the post and this obviously is something similar to the Facebook page ..

Also you have the ability to add comments directly in the Google Reader. So any person who has subscribed to your Feeds in Google reader would be able to read the feed easily and comment on it too…

At least the front page of Google Docs will be in a few months getting a new look. Google announced this in a blog post on the Google Docs blog. In the next few days, changes should only be visible, now we are thinking why change suddenly? There are rumors that its going head on with Microsoft office 2010, since it also has a nice web based service.

Here is whats new in the next release of Google Docs:

- Shared with in the sidebar will soon be “removed”. To search for documents a person shares with you, you can use the advanced search.
