About a month ago, Google released new images for Google Earth and updated the imagery of many locations. Google now wants to change the rhythm, and frequently publish new recordings of Google earth.

Now you don’t have to answer quizzes to know the new locations. Google Earth now has made available a file with all the updated pictures in red. You can grab the file at http://mw1.google.com/mw-earth-vectordb/Imagery_Updates/imagery_updates.kml.

If you have installed Google Earth plug-in you can see the updated areas automatically.

Recently in May Google announced images update to Google earth…. and now there is one more update!! Here are few updated places updated Imagery:

Google has a new satellite builder in Google earth. This update brings new 3D image updates in Google Earth. Here are following updates:

Google has made the search by color in the image search now officially available. Currently there are 12 different colors to choose from in the image search.

Unfortunately, the menu in Google Chrome 2 is not displayed…. So you can always try to get it to working by adding color=[color you want] in the Google search URL.. Google Image search can now be restricted to return results of a specific color. While this isn’t available as option in the advanced settings, you can use e.g. “imgcolor=green” or “imgcolor=blue,red” as parameter right in the URL. Setting the option to “blue”, for instance, shows images for your keyword which are mainly blue.

Example:

House: http://images.google.com/images?q=house

Blue House: http://images.google.com/images?imgcolor=blue&q=house

In order to search for images mostly from a color, you need the URL of the search string only the parameter imgtype & COLOR = Append.
