The new interface looks like a stand-alone image search application, all full advantage of the touch screen mobile phone operation and effects of sideslip.

The main improvements are:

Search results page is filled with the box the picture looks more neat, convenient and fast browsing

Slide to the left, you can switch to the next page, without having to press the button next page button or page number

Optimize the image display rate can be faster to give you

Click on a picture directly to a black background presented, around the back button will fade within a few seconds, so you focus only on the screen to see the picture (below)

Is still sliding around the operation, switch to the next or previous picture

We recently reported a Google bomb on Obama. When you search for ‘who is failure’, it shows the white house URL on the top and Obama’s name. Likewise there has also been many Google Bombs in Google image search lately, for example Michelle Obama was targeted.

Now Google puts up a disclaimer of the search algorithm and here is what it says:

Sometimes Google search results from the Internet can include disturbing content, even from innocuous queries. We assure you that the views expressed by such sites are not in any way endorsed by Google.

Search engines are a reflection of the content and information that is available on the Internet. A site’s ranking in Google’s search results relies heavily on computer algorithms using thousands of factors to calculate a page’s relevance to a given query.

The beliefs and preferences of those who work at Google, as well as the opinions of the general public, do not determine or impact our search results. Individual citizens and public interest groups do periodically urge us to remove particular links or otherwise adjust search results. Although Google reserves the right to address such requests individually, Google views the integrity of our search results as an extremely important priority. Accordingly, we do not remove a page from our search results simply because its content is unpopular or because we receive complaints concerning it. We will, however, remove pages from our results if we believe the page (or its site) violates our Webmaster Guidelines, if we believe we are required to do so by law, or at the request of the webmaster who is responsible for the page.

We apologize if you’ve had an upsetting experience using Google. We hope you understand our position regarding offensive results.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

This disclaimer flashes whenever you search for popular people’s images on Google image search.

Google officially launched the ability to filter search results using Creative Commons licenses inside the Image Search tool. It is now easy to restrict your Image Search results to find images which have been tagged with the CC licenses, so that you can find content from across the web that you can share, use, and even modify. Searches are also capable of returning content under other licenses, such as the GNU Free Documentation License, or images that are in the public domain.

To filter by CC search, go to Google’s advanced Image Search page and select the options you’d like in the “Usage rights” section. Your results will be restricted to images marked with CC licenses or other compatibly licensed photos.

This is a great step forward for the future of image search on the web, so good job to the Google team on implementation CC!

Example:

House: http://images.google.com/images?q=house

Blue House: http://images.google.com/images?imgcolor=blue&q=house

Or, you could use the form below to search and see how its done!

Black
Blue
Brown
Gray
Green
Orange

In order to search for images mostly from a color, you need the URL of the search string only the parameter imgtype & COLOR = Append. Currently, as far as i known, 12 colors available: [red, blue, green, teal, purple, yellow, orange, pink, white, gray, black, brown]
